I have a dog that has been itchy for his entire life. He has been to numerous veterinarians and even to a pet dermatologist and nothing ever seemed to help. It got to the point where he had to wear "doggy clothes" at all times or he would have bald patches and hot spots constantly. This has lasted for the last 6 years. When I found South Novato Animal Hospital I decided to try again. Dr Dahlman didn't automatically prescribe steroids to treat his symptoms but instead looked for the underlying problem and recommended a treatment that worked with my budget and my dog's needs. I am happy to say that for the last 10 months my dog is no longer itchy and has the prettiest coat I have seen on him in almost 9 years. Thank you so much for giving me my dog back Dr. Dahlman!

Recently I had the sad experience of my 16 year old tabby taking seriously ill. Dr. Koalska was so kind and responsive, we did some tests and treatment, but it was clear she was suffering and her prognosis was poor. Dr. Koalska understood my reluctance to put my poor girl through any more suffering. In the end, Dr. Dahlman was in the hospital when I knew her suffering had gone on too long, and his compassion was a great comfort. The entire staff added personal notes to the condolence card they sent. Meant a lot to me. I am a loyal patient.

I have been taking my cats to Dr. Dahlman since 2004, when he first came to SNAH. He and the entire staff have always gone out of their way to make my cats feel comfortable and safe, and to give them the best possible care. I can't speak highly enough of everyone at SNAH.

Dr. Dahlman and his friendly team are always so helpful and concerned for my dog's health. I truly appreciate the courteous manners and warmness from each person that works here. You can see right away each team member's love for animals. I always feel welcome in the clinic to bring even my anti-social German Shepherd inside. They go out of their way to make special accomodations for each pet's behavior. The team has consistently provided a thoughtful and caring environment for my dog.

I can't say enough about the fantastic staff of the South Novato Animal Hospital! From the moment I speak to Margie on the phone I know my cats are getting the best possible care. Dr. Dahlman has the best bedside manner and is truly a cat guy. My super shy, once feral cat warmed right up to him and even purred for him. After trying 2 other hospitals in Novato after moving here 3 years ago, we are now loyal patients of SNAH because of the ENTIRE staff! They are all angels who really care about their patients and the people who come with them.
